"Deliver Us" from anymore awful In Flames music...

Spot the Violation.
Do you enjoy listening to Swedish metal group, In Flames? Even mildly? New rule: don't. "Melodic Death Metal" over my worm-infested corpse. I know butt metal when I hear it. In Flames is unbridled, bona fide butt metal.

Century Media Records, on their seemingly neverending quest to provide the world with increasingly terrible metal music, has just released a new single from In Flames, titled "Deliver Us", off of their upcoming 10th studio release, "Sounds of a Playground Fading". Thus putting In Flames in a strong running as world record holders for the gayest album title ever. The album has been set for several European release dates in mid to late June 2011, and is coming to the U.S on June 21st. I hope you are all very much looking forward to not listening to it. If you need further convincing beyond me just telling you not to, here you go:

I have to hand it to In Flames. Despite the fact that the albums they've released over the last 10 years have all been unlistenable, they always manage to surprise me with how much more bad music they can consistently make. After all of those albums, and a genuine melodic death metal history, you figure they would let maybe one good death metal track slip once and a while. Nope. According to Blabbermouth.net, "Sounds of a Fading Playground" is also going to be the first album recorded by In Flames without founding guitarist Jesper Strömblad, who quit the band back in February 2010 after developing a serious alcohol addiction. Something obviously brought on by the feelings of shame and guilt that go along with playing in a band that makes such shitty music. I would drink a lot, too.

If you want to obtain a digital copy of "Deliver Us", the song will be available for download on iTunes and elsewhere in North America on May 10th. Just keep in mind that we won't be friends anymore.

  1. In Flames hasn't been good since Colony, and even then that album had a couple of bad tracks.

  2. Fortunately Jesper's new band that he's starting with Glenn (other original In Flames guitarist) seems promising.

  3. Attack me if you want but I've liked all of In Flames albums, and even I think that song's crap.

  4. Can I still listen to their old albums? Or are those soiled forever now?

  7. They were pretty good until after Clayman... I have no idea what the hell happened after that.

  9. It must really suck to have to listen to such craptastic music just so you can steer us clear. Thanks.

  10. Honestly, I don't now which is worse; In Flames making such an awful song or Century Media making a copyright claim, thus forcing the world to pay for suck.

If Melodic Death Metal isn't metal, you're saying that Amon Amarth, among tons of other awesome bands, are not metal. What then, in your god-like opinion, is metal? Bullet for My Valentine? Avenged Sevenfold? Go put a rope around your neck.

  13. Yea Mason, if you think that bands like At the gates, Eucharist and Desultory are false metal then I second Cyanides advice, put a rope around your neck.

Melodic Death Metal is metal, but In Flames are NOT melodic death metal anymore, and they actually sound as gay as Bullet for My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold now.

  16. I am a big In Flames fan (minus Sense of Purpose) and I was also NOT a fan of Deliver Us. I am however a big fan of the album 'Sounds of a Playground Fading' which in it's entirety is surprisingly good.

That being said: It is not a metal album, unfortunately they are now rock.

  17. Two entire paragraphs and you couldn't manage to give one good reason why they are awful. All you've done is expressed your taste in music on the internet without a single thoughtful criticism.

Please save yourself from more embarrassment and delete this pathetic excuse for a blog.

    Thank you,

    - Everyone.
